It’s difficult to control yourself when you want to order the whole menu at a restaurant, and wishing you could have a little plate of everything has happened to us more than once. It’s no surprise that the concept of tapas is a favorite, and Hotel Zero1 picked up on that; opening the new restaurant Z Tapas Lounge inside their establishment caters to that growing demand which is a great initiative.
Located in the heart of downtown Montreal on the corner of René-Levesque and Saint-Laurent, tapas are nothing new to montrealers, but they’re still very well loved since it invites people to try a small portion of several things and it promotes sharing with your loved ones. The new restaurant also offers a regular menu if you choose to enjoy a bigger plate of delicious flavours.
Discover Chef Marielvi Falvino’s amazing food that showcases all the greatness Latin America has to offer by heading out to this new address. This tapas lounge is a good spot for a classic dinner for two as well as pre-show meal considering how close it is to everything downtown, especially the SAT and Club Soda for example.
Turning to drinks, their signature cocktail menu is designed by no other than Mister Cocktail AKA Patrice Plante, a well-known expert mixologist in the city. You can expect creativity and really unique mixes that will thrill your taste buds, all served in a classy yet professional way.
With a range from light and sweet to a bolder combination, there’s definitely something for everyone (we liked the Surinam Cobbler). For any wine lover out there, they do carry a large selection of private imports.
With a well-lit space and a gorgeous interior terrace complemented by a large luminous tree, the decor doesn’t disappoint. You can choose to sit at a table on the couches or at the funky bar in front of the bartenders to watch them do their magic.
A nice marriage between black and white with pops of vibrant colors always give a stunning finished look. The pink piano and other colourful accents go hand in hand with the mirrored chairs and create this fun yet classy ambiance.
