Ikanos is a Montreal-based Greek and Mediterranean restaurant located in Old Montreal. When we attended the launch event for the MTL loves greek wines festival, we immediately noticed the quality and expertise behind the execution of the dishes presented to us.
Looking around, the details in the decor as well as the classy feel of the whole place could not go unnoticed. Mixing wood with dainty metal accents to give a modern touch, paired with huge windows welcoming the sunlight, having a drink at the bar or sitting down at a table will allow you to experience what Ikanos is all about. The space is well-arranged and spacious, perfect to celebrate an anniversary with friends or to host a business event in the heart of the city.
Ikanos’ cuisine captures the zest of Mediterranean cooking by featuring delicious dishes that blend traditional flavours in inventive, modern ways. The restaurant offers an exquisite unique menu featuring fresh, market foods grilled over a Josper oven, and accompanied by a wide selection of world famous wines.
From delightful appetizers to full-sized fishes, the menu showcases a wide variety of different dishes that include meat, fish, seafood and salads, without it being overwhelming. Even after several times visiting Ikanos, we still experience delicious new flavours and dishes every time we go, trying new plates on the menu as well as ordering our all-time favorite ones.

This summer season, Ikanos restaurant introduced a unique brunch experience in the heart of Old Montreal. Remaining true to the Ikanos style, chef-owner Constant Mentzas‘ breakfast is a Mediterranean-style menu with a twist on classic brunch staples. You know a restaurant is well-established and well-rounded when they’re able to nail both the dinner as well as the brunch menu they offer.
