5 ACTIVITIES YOU’RE NEVER TOO OLD TO DO IN THE WINTER
Remember the days when you used to love winter and everything that came with it ? We were all waiting for recess to run outside and complete our snowman before having to go back home. Even then, we begged our parents to let us go outside so we could build a fort and have a friendly battle with our neighbors. To this day, we never grew out of some activities, but it doesn’t matter, because despite our age, they still are a ton of fun!
- Snowball fights
Whether it’s with your special someone or a group of friends, playing outside in the snow can bring back childhood memories and actually make you enjoy the weather you’ll have to deal with for the next couple of weeks. A friendly competition never hurt anybody, and let’s face it, seeing your best friend getting attacked by snowballs is priceless.

- Eggnog cocktails
For the holiday season, this is exactly what you need to get the party going. Originally from Europe, a cup of eggnog remains to this day a classic to have at gatherings, but it doesn’t mean you can’t put a twist on it! Whip up your own special recipe by mixing different spices, and share it with your loved ones. Whether you’re 21 or 54, this drink never gets old.

- Christmas movies marathon
Who doesn’t like a good old movie marathon, especially when it’s about the most wonderful time of the year ? Television allows you to enjoy the classics one after the other, first romantic comedies followed by cartoons from when you were young. Even if it’s not during the holidays, grab your favorite trilogy, sit on your couch and remind yourself why it’s so awesome. All you need is a cozy sweater and a bowl of popcorn and you’re ready to go!

- Sledding on the Mont-Royal
During summer, you can enjoy the tam-tams or a nice walk on the Mont-Royal, the notorious hill where montrealers love to reunite, but when Mother Nature brings us snow, it gets transformed into the best slide ever! Even our neighbors in Quebec City decided to share their love for sledding by building the toboggan ice slide at the Chateau Frontenac. So grab your crazy carpet and bring your family and friends to enjoy this classic winter activity you loved oh so much when you were little!

- Ice skating
Apart from the gorgeous view it offers, the Old Port allows you to perfect your skills on the ice with their outside skating rink during winter. This activity can either be a romantic way to enjoy some time with your significant other, or an entertaining and fun way to bond with your crew. Plus, this friendly setting is an easy way to meet new people.
