Indian Pub Le 409 Brings Out A New Menu For The New Year

The winter weather calls more often than not for comfort food with warm accents. When it’s cold outside, there’s nothing like a nice dahl soup and tender butter chicken to lift your mood up, and thanks to the new menu at Le 409, foodies have yet another spot to visit this season. The Holder brothers joined forces with the Anand family behind the renowned Indian establishment since 2003 called Atma, to offer patrons a menu that bursts with classic flavours and delicate spices.

Blending must-have dishes with a selection of more contemporary creations, there’s something for everyone on the menu. That includes vegetarian and vegan options if need be, which is always a nice initiative from the owners and chefs.

You will find all sorts of protein sources from chicken and lamb to chickpeas and lentils. No matter your pick, you’re sure to send your palate on a journey around the world with the authentic flavours on every plate leaving the kitchen. Different levels of spice are also offered in case you or your friends prefer milder tastes.

Regarding drinks, there is a nice selection of creative signature cocktails like a rose lemonade and one resembling a fragrant lassi with star anis that will enchant your taste buds. Beers are also offered as well as a curated wine list to satisfy across the board. Whether you take a seat at the bar or visit the restaurant with a group of friends, the warmth from the staff and the place itself will make you feel right at home.

Located at 409 McGill, the establishment harbors a unique decor that showcase a great attention to details and a fascinating global design. With vibes that reminisce of Bombay meets Bladerunner, this indian pub looks like nothing else in town. The tropical accents emphasize the already warm feeling in the restaurant and we couldn’t remember the freezing temperature outside when we visited.

Le 409 is yet another place where you can expect an impeccable service and great food in a prime location that is the old port, but without breaking the bank. Perfect for an impromptu night out, a date or a birthday celebration, as well as business lunches which they will start doing as soon as March rolls around.
