Giulietta Opens a Second Location in Marché-Central with More to Come
Certain people think that good restaurants are hard to find once you gravitate away from the centre of the city and the hip neighborhoods, but this couldn’t be further from the truth in a city like Montreal. Sometimes, you just want to grab a bite without having to think about parking or you’d rather go shopping and watch a movie without having to go to a restaurant far away. The new Giulietta that just opened in Marché Central is perfect for that kind of situation where you need quality food outside of downtown.

Located at 951 Crémazie West, Authentic Italian cuisine juxtaposed with providing a friendly and affordable experience is how we would describe this restaurant. At Giulietta, respect for typical Italian family recipes is of the utmost importance. Everything is brought to you by chef Érik Mandracchia, who’s cuisine has received the praise of several gastronomic critics including Lesley Chesterman and Thierry Daraize.
Several products are homemade such as desserts, sauces and fresh pasta. The dishes are made from quality ingredients, local produce but also delicious tomatoes and cheeses imported from straight from Italy.

On the menu, you will find classics like lasagna and bolognese papardelles, comfort dishes including porchetta and osso bucco, fresh salads and great appetizers to satisfy your cravings. Whether you visit for lunch or for dinner, you can accept decadent pizzas and tasty toppings. It wouldn’t be an Italian joint without their famous pizzas, cooked in seconds in a wood oven made in Naples. Adults and children will find their pick at Guilietta.
The wine list is developed by sommelier Gabrielle Boland. It offers a fine selection of Italian wines of private import, to please amateurs and connoisseurs. There are also Italian-inspired cocktails and a fine selection of beers on tap, as well as bottled Italian beers to cater to everyone’s taste.

The good food and nice portions are definitely the selling points for this place, but we can’t forget to mention the practicality of the location. Free outdoor as well as free indoor parking is available, it’s literally next door to an awesome movie theater and it’s inside of a strip mall for all of us that can’t resist a bit of shopping. Whether for a date night or with the family, Giulietta fits all kinds of plans.

For the decor, renowned designer Jean-Pierre Viau (also behind Toqué, Patrice Pâtissier, Hotel and Spa Le Finlandais) is the one signing off on the interior design of this second location. He emulated the jovial and festive spirit of the Giulietta logo through a colorful wall in the entrance, while adding a modern touch to the establishment and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Leather benches and quartz tables make up the decor, which is both user-friendly and sophisticated.
A bar area also adorns the restaurant with 15 seats at high tables and a dining area. Clients can take a seat at the pizza counter to watch the pizza makers do their thing in front of the magnificent oven. Sports lovers will be delighted by the giant screen of over 25 feet, which will showcase all games using a quality 6K cinema projector. From hockey to football, it’s a clever destination for a boys’ night out.

Following the success of the first branch of pizzeria Giulietta that opened in the fall of 2018 in Saint-Leonard, the concept is growing and doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. Clients of Marché-Central and the Guzzo cinema on de l’Acadie boulevard will be able to enjoy high-quality Italian cuisine in a relaxed family atmosphere.
As for the other Giulietta restaurants, they will open soon, starting with a third branch annexed to the soon-to-be Guzzo cinema in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu planned for spring 2020, and others to come around Dollard-des -Ormeaux and Terrebonne.
