The 10 Asian Dishes That Define The Brand New Restaurant Hà
Comfort food at its finest in a relaxed atmosphere
A calm and friendly ambiance complementing refined authentic dishes. Bring your taste buds on a culinary adventure through South-East Asia, courtesy of Restaurant M. Hà. The renowned establishment is officially reopening on September 4th and it exceeds any and all expectations.
Owners Nicolas Urli, Flore-Anne Ducharme and Francisco Randez worked hand in hand with neighborhood icon and previous owner Mister Hà himself to put forward a unique “street cuisine” experience that mimics the original restaurants in Asia.
Restaurant Hà will honor the Vietnamese concept called BIA HOI, which invites the clients to enjoy simplicity and tasty dishes with a refreshing cold beer.
Located at 243 Mont-Royal West just in front of the beautiful Jeanne-Mance park, you will soon be able to experience Hà through different concepts. Patrons can appreciate the succulent food sitting down at a table like any regular restaurant, benefit from the “take out” option, or bring the food across the street and enjoy a nice picnic.
If you want to discover new gourmet horizons, here are the 10 dishes you need to give a try.
-
M. Hà’s egg rolls / Rouleaux impériaux de M. Hà
The classic appetizer everyone loves. Every bite of these crispy rolls made with pork and shrimp will bring your palate on a journey.

-
M. Hà’s Pho / La tonkinoise de M. Hà
Between the noodles, the garnish and the fragrant broth, this dish doesn’t need a ton to be incredibly tasty and comforting. Hot and flavourful!

-
Beef tataki with spicy papaya salad / Tataki de bœuf, salade de papaye épicée
A delightful dish that will make you come back for more. The beef is cooked to perfection and the spicy salad brings a nice touch of heat without overpowering the rest of the components.

-
M. Hà’s classic coconut milk salmon / Le classique saumon avec lait de coco de M. Hà
Exotic ingredients waiting to please you. A splendid grilled salmon accentuated with coconut milk, with a side of braised fennel and a lovely fennel purée. Add in a gorgeous remoulade that is lemongrass-based and get ready for a flavour explosion.

-
HàFC / PFHà
An Asian twist on the beloved fried chicken. Savor this spicier version with two different dipping sauces that gives it an extra kick.

-
Squid ink buns, pork belly and crunchy veggies / Buns à l’encre de seiche, flan de porc, légumes croquants
The innovative item on the menu. Delectable pork belly inside squid ink buns with veggies on the side. The ink in the buns doesn’t cover up the taste of the other elements on the plate, and gives the recipe a nice edge.

-
BBQ beef ribs / Ribs de bœuf BBQ
Beets are all the rage right now, so if you pair gorgeous BBQ ribs with beet chips and some cooked beets drizzled in a soy and ginger sauce, you get this amazing dish.

-
Pork ribs with maple syrup and lemongrass / Ribs de porc au sirop d’érable et citronelle
Tender meat that cuts like butter. The sweetness from the maple syrup glaze is well-balanced with the lemongrass, which is nicely finished with some marinated pears and peaches.

-
Shrimp and calamari wok with sea salt and 5 spices / Wok de crevettes et calmars, sel de mer et 5 épices
For the seafood lovers out there. Big juicy shrimps and calamari resting on top of a refreshing iceberg salad with an Asian vinaigrette.

-
Veggies casserole with crispy tofu / Casserole de légumes et tofu croustillant
A delicious vegetarian alternative. The warm crispy tofu pieces mixed with the cooked but still crunchy veggies make this a lighter main course or a great side dish.
