Montreal Oysterfest Is Back For Its 7th Edition And It’s Gonna Be The Best One Yet
It’s not only for oyster lovers
More festivals, more food, and more good times; Montreal is not slowing down. It’s that time of the year again when the city hosts the long-awaited Oysterfest where you can expect nothing less than over 80 restaurants and vendors ready to fill your stomachs, but wait there’s more.

During the weekend of August 29th and August 30th, along with succulent food, you can expect at the Peel Basin 3 shucking competitions, 3 drink-making competitions, a plating competition accompanied with a beer boat race, a slip n slide and gorgeous fireworks. Yes all that in two days.
Participating restaurants include Bevo, Mercuri, Decca 77, Dirty Dogs, Joverse, Notkins, Dolcetto, Suite 701, Rosewood, Kyomi, Harlow, Flyjin, Jatoba, Park, and way more!
This internationally renowned culinary event is obviously known for the fantastic dishes put forward by great establishments, but also for the oyster shucking competitions taking place. It gathers every year numerous notorious champions as well as talented amateurs all there to compete and celebrate the amazing delicacy.
What’s even better is that a portion of the profits of this year’s festival will go to the Open Pier Conservatory, a non-profit group founded by Daniel Notkin devoted to protecting the world’s waterways and aquatic life.
