10 years later Igloofest has left it’s mark on Montreal

Twelve memorable evenings and projects already in line for 2017

After 10 consecutive years of hosting a music festival during the cold winter months of January and February, Igloofest is here to stay and Montrealers cannot get enough of it.

The 10th edition ended on February 6th under a light snowfall and a cheering crowd. Over the course of 12 nights, 79 000 visitors reconfirmed the enthusiasm Montrealers have for this event, which has become one of the flagship joys of winter in the city.

This winter the team completely redeveloped the site on the Jacques-Cartier Quay in the old port, once again renewing the experience for its visitors.

In terms of “sound and light”, there was something for all tastes and so much for the eyes to marvel at. In total, 74 musical artists and 25 visual artists made 2016 the most beautiful program in its history, nothing less!

And of course, the party would not even be possible without the Igloofest team of more than 650 employees across the duration of the event, of which nearly 300 were on the grounds every night.

Until next winter you can rejoice by watching their official aftermovie.
