La Belle et La Boeuf : Decadent Menu and Inaugurating their 10th Location
Whether for you friends with big appetites or to treat yourself on your cheat day, huge portions in restaurants are becoming less and less available. The industry currently prioritizes decent portions and a nice platting, but sometimes all you need is a plate of carbs, fries, meat, beers and smores to pig out on. The first establishment opened 6 years ago and they recently inaugurated their 10th location in Québec a couple of weeks ago! Talk about a rapid growth – but when you mix good food with a unique badass decor and a fun ambiance, it’s a winning formula.
Each location is conceptualized by Jacques Gaspo, and is largely inspired by the 1970’s punk, alternative-indie rock era. The biggest one is the brand new one on the south shore in Boucherville with an impressive 7000 square feet.
Although they put the emphasis on monstrous burgers, they also offer creative poutines, rich mac n cheeses, gooey grilled-cheeses as well as lighter (yes yes it’s possible) options like salads and poke bowls! There’s something for each mood you’re can be in and every junk food craving you can have. They also offer delectable desserts such as Nutella s’mores dip and fried donuts served with chocolate and caramel syrup.
What is great about La Belle et La Boeuf is that some items on the menu can be characterized as junk but you’re not putting horrible things in your body. Their burgers are made with certified Angus beef and quality ingredients, so are the other items of the menu. You can taste the freshness as well as the quality and your body doesn’t feel off the next day like it would with classic junk foods after you devoured your plate.
On the refreshment side of the menu, La Belle et La Boeuf houses a selection of local beers, wine, whiskey, a list of 50+ colourful cocktails, alcoholic or non-alcoholic floaters, smoothies as well as milkshakes to only name a few…! The impressive collection of spirits displayed behind the bartenders will astound you. To give you an idea, there’s a sliding wooden ladder involved.
The size of the drinks is generous for the price point and will be worth your while. It is easy to feel lost in all the choices available but rest assured that the classic and simple drinks also appear on the menu, and that the staff will be happy to share their recommendations.
With the versatility of its concept, the brand is experience massive success and is always looking to satisfy patrons by pushing the envelope. The restaurants are perfect for any casual occasion you may encounter, from a friend’s big birthday to a family outing or even to cheer on your favorite sports team.
