3 New Unique Brunch Spots To Elevate Your Sundays

Everyone can agree that brunch is one of the best concepts related to food or eating out, but it can also get redundant pretty quickly. Because of the types of foods typically served in the morning, chefs are sometimes restricted when it comes to ingredients they can use to create their brunch dishes. However, some establishments have been branching out recently from the regular steak and eggs to offer patrons a unique experience in terms of culinary delights for brunch. Here are 3 restaurants that recently started doing brunch and who caught our eye.

Jiao Dim Sum Bar

There not one thing that Jiao Dim Sum Bar doesn’t know how to do well. From great cocktails to amazing food and a bumping ambiance, the hip spot not only offers fantastic dinner and lunch menus but a creative Asian brunch as well.

The red velvet waffle with the Jiao chicken is straight up succulent. It is a generous portion but every bite is filled with tasty eastern flavors, which is their take on the classic chicken and waffle but on steroids. It is the most unique dish on the menu in our opinion, but it doesn’t mean that the Banh Mi or other plates lack uniqueness. Some plates from the dinner menu are offered on the brunch menu for clients that have that one favorite they can’t pass up on.

Fiorellino Laurier

Fiorellino Brunch pt.1 (2 of 18)

The beloved Italian establishment Fiorellino recently opened on Laurier and expanded its menu offering at that location… with a brunch menu! The warmth and comfort of Italian cuisine mixed with quality dishes will win you over.

The menu offers some brunch classics like pancakes, omelettes, bacon and potatoes, but will also throw in some Italian specialities, like “Cecina,” a gluten-free chickpea crepe served with a variety of toppings. Let’s not forget about the Panettone French toast that is to die for. And if you are a Nutella lover like us, you will be very pleased. Some new pizzas will be on this weekend menu as well. The decor is breathtaking as well, making this restaurant a great option for outings between friends, family or for more formal parties.

SuWu

Suwu Event (31 of 45)

The best fried chicken we had in a good while. If you’re into a more decadent brunch option, Suwu is the place for you.

Rich flavours and carbs will hit the spot and satisfy your taste buds whether you’re brunching with friends or hungover from the night before. The cool ambiance and staff adds to the delicious food and creates a chill atmosphere for people that wish to change from their usual brunch place without breaking the bank. Portions are great for the affordable prices, without compromising on the taste. We still dream about that fried chicken and the breakfast sandwich.
