Igloofest Launches A Canada-Wide DJ Competition For The Third Weekend
Igloofest Is Offering the Chance for a Canadian DJ to Join the 10th Year Anniversary on Stage.
The biggest winter festival in Montreal takes place from January 14th to February 6th, over 4 weekends long from Thursday to Saturday. Igloofest returns for it’s 10th year with a special competition for upcoming DJs to play a 60 minute performance on the main stage January 30th.
The competition takes place in two rounds: first musicians create a sample 60 minute mix that they try to make public. All the entry mixes are submitted to a voting page where the top 15 mixes will move on.
The second round consists of Igloofest staff and specialists choosing the best mix from the popularly voted 15 mixes. The revealing of the winning DJ is explained further in dates below.
The grand prize for the winning DJ is a variety of splendid stuff:
- 60 min. opening set on Sapporo Stage
- 500 dollars
- Transportation for the winning DJ (+ a friend) to and from Montreal
- 2 Igloofest VIP Weekend Passes
- 3 Nights at W Hotel in Old Montreal
- A new winter coat
