[Recap] Samsung’s Night of Infinite Possibilities at New City Gas
Samsung’s Night of Infinite Possibilities was held in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver this weekend, and they couldn’t have chosen a more accurate event name. I was lucky enough to have covered the event at New City Gas in Montreal, which served as a preview party for the new Samsung Galaxy S4. After the event, the main thing I kept asking myself was “Why do I still have an iPhone?”
This event featured an incredible performance by Dragonette, who did far more than just come to say hello. Dragonette was exceptionally hip, and had everybody at New City Gas singing and jumping along to their top hits. Here are a couple pics I took off my iPhone, wishing it could be a Samsung Galaxy S4 instead.

Another performance was done by Feist, which was both a surprising and inspiring experience. Samsung created a hologram version of Feist, which was so well done that it took me all night to figure out if it was really her, or if it was an illusion. For myself, seeing a hologram performance was completely out of my element, but it inspired me to think of considering what the future of musical performances would be like, and gave me a new appreciation for the creators behind this idea. Here’s a video of the making of Fiests hologram for those of you who didn’t get to first-handedly experience it like I did.
Samsung’s Night of Infinite Possibilities exceeded my expectations, and I have a feeling that I’ll be seeing a lot more people, including myself, making the switch to Android very soon. Here’s a video of the new Samsung GS4 because I can’t possibly write how amazing it is within my word limit.
Until next time,
Aleks.
