Montreal’s New Summer Camping Festival AIM Releases Phase 1 Of Lineup
The Mysterious Electronic Music Festival Known as AIM Has Finally Released Their Phase 1 Of the Artist Lineup.
In December of last year, news reached the electronic music community that Montreal was receiving a new festival that would take place outside the city. The concept behind AIM is orientated for a creative expansion of Art, Innovation, and Movement in a camping setting.
The Montreal region is due for a new serious electronic event outdoors where the crowd can take residence in nature. Camping festivities are something our European neighbours have a plethora of, so it’s definitely exciting to see this experience grow close to Montreal. AIM will take place from June 26 to 28 this coming summer, right before the celebrations on Canada day.
The festival is located in St-André d’Argenteuil area, at Parc Carillon. There will be shuttles available to take people from Montmorency subway in Montreal to the camping site and festival grounds. More shuttles will be offered to future attendees at different locations in Quebec, soon to be announced.
The attendees can expect a non stop 35 hour stream of salacious sound and good vibes. AIM is one of the only festival in Canada that has been authorized for this long of straight music. While city festivals usually end at 12am or 1am in some cases, a camping festival outside the restricted sound limitations can continuously keep going. AIM’s festival management has said that there will be a mix of electronic and techno music, workshops, on-site activities, and multimedia art opportunities.
All things considered for the premiere year, AIM festival has already launched an impressive beginning by gaining nearly 10,000 followers on Facebook. The general response from the mass public has been wide approval and sheer excitement. People’s attitudes can only escalate today at the announcement of phase 1’s artists. The first 13 acts are now announced, but there will be 50 musicians in total playing. More news will be announced in the following months.
