Hudson Mohawke and Jacques Greene Are Putting On A Show At SAT
The Glasgow Producer Returns to Montreal Beside A Local Legend
On November 20th, Hudson Mohawke takes SAT by storm after a break from summer. The hip-hop beat maker has kept himself busy all year with the release of Lanterns LP. HudMo is stepping into the spotlight recently with his EP and LP releases earning an impressive following. His biggest accomplishment is the final release of “Chimes”, which has garnered nearly 6 million plays.
HudMo was last in Montreal during Osheaga Music Festival this summer, but is a frequent performer here. In 2008 he joined forces with Lunice to create the powerful duo TNGHT, which received tremendous support on an international scale. The two together didn’t last long, but gave their fans a taste of collective talent on their self titled EP.
Now the Glasgow musician is joining forces alongside Montreal’s Jacques Greene where the two will take turns dazzling their audience. Both producers are part of LuckyMe Records, with HudMo being one of the founders in 2008. Jacques Greene as well has been putting music out on the label for years, so there is sure to be some friendly chemistry on stage.
I Love Neon is hosting the party at SAT (1201 Saint Laurent Road) from 10pm to 3am. The opening acts include M.Bootyspoon and Motions, two local DJs that will add a groovier start to the night. You can purchase tickets below for $28 and check out the Facebook event.
