Perles et Paddock Continues to Push Creativity With Their New Menu Concept
It is not surprising for one of Montreal’s favorite spots to constantly deliver quality and finesse no matter the innovative path they choose to go down. They welcomed clients’ opinions and suggestions with open arms, thus creating a brand new menu concept, while never pushing to the side their renowned cocktails and stellar service. Many restaurants try to offer refined dishes while balancing experimentation and classic flavour combinations, which can be tricky to nail, but not for Perles et Paddock.

A brand new formula just made its way out of the kitchen, courtesy of Chef Paddy Cheang (Park, Perles et Paddock) and sous-chef Julia Gireaud (Buvette Chez Simone, Pastaga), and is ready to be experienced by patrons : it is customizable to the kind of evening you desire, offering alcohol pairings that fit beautifully with the selected dishes, bringing the plate to a whole other level. This new menu lists smaller, elaborate plates alongside two heartier dishes of the day, one straight from the sea and one from the land.
The format of the tasting menu consists of three amuse-bouches, followed by three small savoury dishes and finished off with three sweet bouchées. A vegetarian option is available as well as the omni one that includes all kinds of meats and fish. There is a set price for the dishes alone but it can also be experienced paired with cocktails, wines, fortified wines, fine liqueurs and more.

Ingredients are selected with precision, always keeping quality in mind, whether for a cocktail or a dish, which shows in the taste of the delicious recipes put together at Perles et Paddock. Organic proteins and eco-responsible, locally-farmed produce, preferably from Quebec are what you will find dressed on the plates around the restaurant. As always, vegan and gluten-free options are available to cater to all dietary restrictions.

Located at 403 rue des Seigneurs in Griffintown, the establishment opened in 2017 and made waves for the right reasons straight from the beginning, not only thanks to the cuisine and staff but also to the place as a whole. Its unique design has received notable recognition, including an invitation to the Bar & Restaurant Design Award in London, a nomination for the Grands Prix du design de Montréal, and articles in magazines worldwide.

Perfect for a date night, a business lunch or a dinner with friends, Perles et Paddock will accommodate your needs in terms of hosting. They also offer brunch on weekends; although it is not their main focus, your taste buds will never go unsatisfied. There is a private room that can be reserved as well, for all types of occasions and gatherings.
