Little Lunch At Bistro Carambola In Hudson
This past Thursday we gathered up for a well deserved birthday lunch at our favourite little bistro in Hudson, about 50min from the city. Carambola, located in the heart of Hudson is a perfect fit for this lovely community. At Carambola two things are of equal importance, quality food and a creative atmosphere. The blending of these principles combined with European techniques and International cuisine create a dining experience unlike any other. Since 2002, Carambola’s passion and experience for fresh and local food is incomparable. Composed of ingredients such as filet mignon, duck, rack of lamb as well as fish and seafood brought in daily. The possibilities are endless and there are no rules. Do not forget to bring your favorite wine when you decide to discover what your senses have been missing, yes it’s BYOB.

We started our afternoon lunch with an order of soup & salad + a side of lightly salted sweet potato fries.

Next up the 3 of us ordered some mouth watering main courses.
1- Braised beef poutine with yukon gold potatoes and aged cheddar.
2- Chicken & waffles dressed with brie and drizzled in honey.
3- Custom risotto infused with cheese and fresh ground pepper made to my liking. This is an example of Carambola’s willingness to accommodate to everyones particular tastes. *(this one is not on the menu)*
4- Cream filled chocolate cakes topped with strawberries and glazed with homemade caramel. (Happy birthday Nicholas <3)
We would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the surrounding regions, the drive is much worth the culinary experience. Here are some more great pictures taken throughout our meal.
Enjoy
