[RECAP & PICTURES] Morgan Page & Dirty South at New City Gas
Seeing Morgan Page AND Dirty South on the same night this past weekend at New City Gas was such a treat, it was like I had a front row ticket to a small scale progressive house music festival with headliners nobody wanted to miss. Dress code was in effect, and New City Gas quickly filled up with a mix of young and sophisticated EDM lovers who came together to enjoy the night. Going into the night, I naturally assumed that Dirty South would have the best set out of the two DJ’s, but looking back, Morgan Page really nailed his set. By tossing in a few more mainstream remixes like “Clarity-Zedd ft. Foxes”, Morgan Page’s set really appealed to a large portion of the crowd who needed those well known mixes to get really hyped up for the rest of the show.

If you looked around the ocean of waving arms in the air, both Morgan Page and Dirty South had New City Gas raging, and I learned my lesson which was to not assume that the closing DJ will be the main one really worth looking forward to seeing. If you ever get the opportunity to see Morgan Page OR Dirty South perform, say YES! I already can’t wait until the next time they come back to Montreal, and will make sure every last one of you get a ticket to go. And for those of you who still haven’t been to New City Gas, GO! We all know the saying “When In Rome”… well, “When In Montreal.. NEW CITY GAS”.
Cheers,
Aleks.
