However, New City Gas and Produkt are teaming up again and giving you a chance to get a head start on the partying. From December 26th- December 29th, Montreal is proudly welcoming back The Lumen Ice and Visual Arts Festival for the second time. Last year’s three day event was unbelievable, but we only expect that they’ll be upping the anti this year. With an extra day to the festival, and DJ’s like W&W, Laidback Luke, Tommy Trash, Fredde Le Grand, Dyro, and Eric Prydz, we can only expect the very best. Get your tickets now!

“For all you people back on earth, we have a message we would like to send you;” On December 26th, “LIFT OFF!” Kicking off this years festival is the ultimate dynamic duo, W&W. Their ability to almost magically bring together elements of trance music and electro house has set them apart and they’ve definitely made a name for themselves in the EDM world. While Ward van der Harst and Willem van Hanegem have been playing and producing for 6 years, among their recent success are songs like “Thunder” and “The Code” and collaborations like “Jumper” with Hardwell. Supported by artists like Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, and Gareth Emery, W&W is on the fast track to the top. Joining them is their fellow dutchman, Dyro, whose also had his share of success. This is definitely a show you do not want to miss. But remember, you’ve only got a total of 18 hours to recuperate, because Friday night promises to bring on a whole other level of madness.
Friday, December 27th, we welcome the legendary Laidback Luke and Montreal’s good friend Tommy Trash. Laidback Luke is one of the oldest players in the game, and this can clearly be seen in his experienced sets. This guy knows what he’s doing. And Trash recently rated New City Gas as the 5th most amazing place to DJ in the world! Both Laidback Luke and Tommy Trash played in Montreal only three months ago, but we could not be happier to have them back. Their love for our city, our love for their performances, and our mutual understanding of music as the ultimate language will make this show one like no other.
On December 28th, “Put Your Hands Up For” one of the greats, Fredde Le Grand. While there has yet to be an announcement made as to who is joining Le Grand on the third night of the festival, we can imagine it’ll be someone good. Embrace the PLUR ideology with us and Le Grand with songs like “So Much Love” and collaborations like “Sparks” with Nicky Romero and “More” with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. “This is the time to turn off your mind,” and just enjoy everything you love about the electronic music dance scene. Let yourself be free one of the last times in 2013.
A postponed show recently turned this priorly 3 day event into a 4 day festival. Closing off the weekend is Eric Prydz. We all know Prydz and his song “Call On Me” or better yet, the controversial video that came along with that song. What you might not know is that Prydz never approved of that promo video. Ever since its release, Prydz has strayed away from media: No interviews, no social networking, and no music video appearances. Although he’s had commercial success, this artist wants to stay in touch with what matters, the music.
Still to come, are invited guest DJ’s. We haven’t gotten word of who else is going to be joining us during this Lumen Festival, but as soon as we know, so will you! So before officially saying goodbye to 2013, whatever your New Year’s Eve plans may be, be sure to come pre-party with us. Tickets are still available, so get them while you still can!
