The 3 Things That Make Raw Moments Different Than Every Other Party In Montreal
A New Generation Of Parties
We had the opportunity to sit down with the guys behind Bauhaus Collective in their Montreal studio.
PAOLO ROCCO & JAY LONDON
The guys started Bauhaus Collective together a little over 6 months ago and have been working on what we believe is one of the best art & music projects Montreal has seen. Raw Moments is the gathering of these great artists, providing an awesome party and much more.
Here are 3 things that differentiate Raw Moments from every other gig in Montreal. We’re are all looking for that fun yet smooth vibing party, and these guys offer it.
#3 – Fully Immersive Art
Minimal art or is it ? Raw moments is a common ground, a way to feature artists such as Photographers (Ben Meir), Graffiti Artists (Philippe Mastrocola) and for their May 9th edition VJ (Jhota Gomez) .
“It’s a way to not only feature us as dj’s, but all kinds of different artists, and that’s what we think is the true essence of a party.”
They combine these forms of art to provide the crowd with the most avant-garde visuals and the opportunity to feature artists, who would normally hold a vernissage, into in a really great event/party.
#2 – True House Music
Paolo and Jay take care of the music with reason. Paolo has released on several big labels which he would never brag about, humble as he is. Jay has also had a great deal of exposure throughout Montreal, having played in most of the clubs and produced house music that has yet had the exposure it deserves. As the guys said “We take care of the music”. These aren’t just your local dj’s, these guys have repertoires of house music that would blow your mind, and I’m talking crates of vinyls.
#1 – Pleasant Attitude
The most important thing about Raw Moments is the feel of a pleasant attitude starting from the host (which they specifically choose), to the bouncers, to the staff and spreading through the whole ambiance of the event. They have a party that has a “homy vibe”, which lets you lay back and “come out of your shell”. Isn’t that what you have been looking for ?
The interview lasted more than an hour and was a great moment to chat with the guys about their take on the music business and where it’s heading. One thing for sure is to keep a look out for Bauhaus Collective and their projects such as Raw Moments.
Will you be attending the 3rd edition of Raw Moments?
