Deadmau5’s Next Tour Is 16 Busses Large Making It Bigger Than A Bon Jovi Tour

Alerting all Deadmau5 fans. The new album brings a new tour, but nothing like we’ve ever experienced.

Let’s brace ourselves for the pure artistic madness we’ll be able to enjoy coming from Joel Zimmerman in the next months. When he’s not grabbing coffee with his friends, he’s working on his feature releases while giving us sneek peaks on his livestreams, but the wait is finally over. Not only is he dropping on June 17th his highly anticipated album While (1<2), a record containing nothing less than 25 tracks, he’s also planning a worldwide tour.

If you know the Mau5 at all, you know he likes to go the extra mile with his projects to push boundaries, and that’s exactly what he’s doing here. His upcoming tour is going to be a totally different (but bigger) game since he’s only playing in stadiums and arenas due to the complexity of the whole production. Talking to the BBC Radio 1 host Zane Lowe, he explained that the tour will require 16 buses, which gives you an idea when it comes to how grand it will be. 16 busses is bigger than a Bon Jovi world tour.

I’m going all chips in, doing it like it’s my last tour. Even though it’s probably not.

The whole process has been in the works for over a year now and it’s all coming together. The concerts should start in 2015, and will feature special effects and new technology to blow us away. Although it’s costing a huge amount, Deadmau5 said that he’s done trying to maximize profits and diminish expenses. He reached a point in his career where he wants to put on a show so magnificent, an out-of-this-world gig that will be completely different than everything already out there, and he’s putting in the time, effort and financial resources to make it happen.

The point is to try and do something different, so I’m not going to go charging hundreds of dollars a ticket to watch me stand in an LED thing.
