Music Fix Of The Week With 3LAU, Dillon Francis, Knife Party, And More

Back by popular demand! Festival season is coming up, we’re getting close to summer, and we wanna prepare you for it! A music fix of 6 or 7 tracks is always fun to freshen up our study playlist, especially when the end of the semester is around the corner. These will be coming more frequently to help you get through the difficult academic times so stay tuned, but in the meantime, dive in!

  • 3LAU Ft Bright Lights – How You Love Me

Collaborating with the same vocalist who worked with him and Paris & Simo on the track “Escape”, 3lau teamed up with no other than the talented Bright Lights for the highly anticipated track. Justin also announced that he will donate his entire share from the beatport profits to the Pencil of Promise organization.

  • Slow Magic – Corvette Cassette

An electronic/glo-fi artist from the US who toured with Gold Panda and XXYYXX and wears a zebra multicolored cardboard mask. Yes he is that awesome and yes his music is that refreshing.

  • Knife Party – Power Glove

One of my personal favorite. Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, two members of the band Pendulum, released two EPs before this one called “haunted house”, and the success was phenomenal. Their fanbase keeps on growing thanks to their unique sound and bangers tracks. The best part is, the two musical geniuses announced that a full album was in the works for 2014!

  • Porter Robinson – Sea Of Voices

When asked about the unusual track, Porter Robinson said he prepared himself for the backlash it would create because of how different the track was from his usual style, but judging by the massive positive reaction from the fans, he didn’t have anything to worry about.

  • Gareth Emery ft Bo Bruce – U

Both from the UK, these two amazing artist came together to give us this really touching song. Gareth Emery never disappoints with his tracks ranging from trance to house to progressive, and for this one, he enlisted the former Voice UK finalist to create a moving piece.

  • Dillon Francis – Beautician 2.0

A little throwback to a track that kickstarted a movement of its own. The moombathon pioneer released it two years ago after remixing a ton of songs that ranged from one end of the music spectrum to the other, and doesn’t seem to be slowing down just yet. Oh and if you don’t already, follow this kid on social media, you won’t regret it.

  • CMA – You’re Not Alone

This young producer from the Netherlands is definitely someone to watch. CMA is only 19 years old and already creating a name for himself in the chillstep community. Perfect to kick back and relax, his melodies are a dream and will make you feel what the producer felt while creating them.
