Some Safe Restaurants Ideas to Help You Plan Your Next Night Out
Restaurants have been allowed to open back up for 2 months now in the city, and between permanent closures and temporary reorganizations, it can be hard to navigate options and get inspired. When choosing where to go eat out in today’s atmosphere, safety measures are at the top of the criteria list for many of us, but it shouldn’t tint the quality of the evening. It is indeed possible to go out and enjoy tasty dishes and nice drinks in a great atmosphere, while practicing the required social distancing measures. Keep an eye out for more lists in the next weeks!
SUWU

A favorite of ours for years. This place has always been a go-to for many montrealers thanks to their casual vibe and quality food, and it just keeps getting better every year. Great portions for a very affordable price, non-pretentious dishes but still packed with a lot of taste, and an awesome service. Many components on the plate are made in-house, with fresh local ingredients. Recipes are inspired from different areas around the globe depending on what the chef wishes to experiment with in that moment. Order the brussel sprouts, you won’t regret it.
Located at 3581 St-Laurent boulevard, Suwu is one of the best hybrid spots in the city. Come for some fancy flavors but stay for the chilled out ambiance. When it comes to the decor, it’s a crossover between rustic yet edgy-cool, and the playlist is fire every time we go. The dining area is big and allows for many tables to be set up while still respecting the social distancing norms easily, without feeling like the room is empty.

All the Antonopoulos group establishments operate under strict regulations in line with the health measures put in place. We’ve visited 3 of them since restaurants reopened and we’re very impressed with the level of care behind every action they take regarding clients’ safety.

FIORELLINO

The beloved establishment Fiorellino located on Laurier offers an amazing menu for dinner that ranges from pizzas to pastas to other delicacies, as well as a great brunch card! The warmth and comfort of Italian cuisine mixed with quality ingredients in the dishes will win you over.
This place has become a routine for us, visiting them a couple of times a month. You will find some brunch classics like pancakes, omelettes, bacon and potatoes, but there is also some Italian specialities like Cecina, a gluten-free chickpea crepe served with a variety of toppings. Let’s not forget about the pancakes dish that is to die for. And if you are a Nutella lover like us, you will be very pleased.
