DJ Producer Ben Gold Makes Montreal His New Home.
As the electronic dance scene popularizes in Montreal, it comes to no surprise that it has caught the attention of international DJs and producers. Montreal is loved by many big producers, mostly due to the fact that the city has a been known to have some of the best party-goers in the world, as well as one of the best night life in North America. With new venues such as New City Gas, big name DJs now have a place to call home in our city. In fact, English trance producer Ben Gold, one of the many to have grown interest in Montreal, has recently crossed the Atlantic and settled here. Spotted hanging out at Stereo and Circus after hours in the last few weeks and making his first New City Gas appearance, it was confirmed by Gold himself that he has made Montreal his new home.

Opening for Gareth Emery last Saturday night, he set New City Gas on fire playing a set sticking to his trance roots, dropping a variety of tracks, from his own heavy hitting productions to classic A&B tunes and massive bootlegs, such as Thing Called Love/Spaceman. In a time where going to see DJs is rapidly gaining in popularity, some people like to think it is ridiculous to go see someone press buttons. On Saturday night, Ben Gold put those stereotypes to shame showing the crowd great energy and singing along to the songs he dropped. For his New City Gas debut, the English DJ showed exactly what he was worth, and set the energy just right before the main act. We are pleased to welcome Ben Gold to Montreal, and look forward to many great things coming from the trance powerhouse.
